These terms of use (“Terms”) apply to your use of atharvakarnik.com (the “website”), run by Atharva Karnik Financial Services (“we”, “us”, “our”), Ghatkopar East, Mumbai, Maharashtra. By using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
1. Who we are
Atharva Karnik is an AMFI Registered Mutual Fund Distributor (ARN-273845) and an insurance agent of LIC of India (life insurance) and HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company Limited (general and health insurance). We are not an Investment Adviser registered with SEBI. Full details of our registrations, how we are paid and how to raise a complaint are on our Disclosures page.
2. Information only, not advice
- All content on the website, including articles, guides, examples, calculators and the Financial Health Check, is general and educational. It does not take your personal situation into account.
- Nothing on the website is investment, tax or legal advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any product, or an offer or solicitation to anyone in a country where it would be unlawful. If you live outside India, some products and services may not be available to you.
- Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks, read all scheme related documents carefully. Past performance is not indicative of future returns.
- Insurance is the subject matter of solicitation. Please read the sales brochure and policy wording carefully before buying.
- Before making any decision, read the scheme or policy documents and, where needed, consult a qualified professional.
3. Calculators and the Financial Health Check
- The calculators give illustrations only. They use the figures and assumed rates of return, inflation and interest that you enter or that we set as defaults. Actual returns are not guaranteed and can be lower, or negative.
- The Financial Health Check gives an indicative score based only on your answers. It is not an assessment of your full financial position or of whether any product is suitable for you.
- Results may contain errors or rounding differences, and do not account for all taxes, charges or future changes in law. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for any financial decision.
4. Copyright and intellectual property
All content on this website is the copyright of Atharva Karnik Financial Services, or is used by us with permission, and is protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 and other laws of India. This includes the text, articles, photographs, graphics, icons, illustrations, page design and layout, the calculators and the Financial Health Check (including their questions, logic and code), and our name and logo. All rights reserved.
You may:
- view the website and print or save a copy of a page for your own personal, non-commercial use;
- share a link to any page of the website;
- quote a short extract for purposes such as review, criticism or reporting, as permitted by law, if you credit “Atharva Karnik Financial Services” and link to the page you quoted.
You may not, without our prior written permission:

Scheme names, fund house names and the names and logos of insurers, AMFI, SEBI, IRDAI and other organisations mentioned on the website belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify them.

5. Using the website responsibly
When you use the website, you agree not to:
- use it for any unlawful, fraudulent or misleading purpose;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the website, its server, our accounts or any data, or test its security without our written permission;
- interfere with how the website works, including by overloading it or sending harmful code;
- submit false information, or information about another person without their consent, through our forms;
- use our forms, email or WhatsApp to send spam or unsolicited promotions.
6. Forms and your information
- How we collect and use personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
- Please do not send sensitive documents or details (such as PAN, Aadhaar or bank details) through the website form. We will share a secure way to send them if needed.
- Submitting a form or contacting us does not make you our client or create any obligation for either of us. Any investment or insurance is governed by the relevant application, scheme documents or policy terms.

The website links to other websites, such as AMFI, SEBI, fund houses and insurers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Their own terms apply when you visit them.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or your rights under the scheme documents, policy terms or the grievance routes listed on our Disclosures page.
10. Reporting copyright concerns
If you believe any content on the website infringes your copyright or other rights, email hello@atharvakarnik.com with the details and a link to the content. We will review it and take appropriate action.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated. By continuing to use the website after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have under applicable consumer and financial-services laws and the grievance routes on our Disclosures page, the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to the website or these Terms.
